Biography
Zubair Raymond Latib is an accomplished music teacher, motivational speaker and tennis instructor based out of Philadelphia. A graduate of West Chester University, where he studied music performance and philosophy, Zubair has worked with students aged 3-60 to help them harness the power of rock and roll and unleash their most confident, creative selves.
A self-taught musician from the age of 13, Zubair began his formal theory training in college, where he was a 3-year member of the West Chester Jazz Ensemble, playing both classical guitar and electric bass. In addition to his fluency with guitar and bass, Zubair is also a drummer, pianist, and vocalist. His ability to shift seamlessly between instruments has made him a crucial member of numerous local rock and jazz bands, the most recent a cover band with national sponsorship that toured the entire East Coast during the spring of 2011.
In addition to providing private lessons for clients since 2003, Zubair has worked extensively with children’s summer camps and after school programs to bring music and tennis instruction to classrooms across the Delaware Valley. He has also served as a motivational speaker for preschool and middle school audiences, specializing in presentations on self- esteem and school bullying.
Outgoing and absolutely effervescent, Zubair brings his zest for life, his sense of humor and his passion for the arts to everything he does. His utmost desire as a teacher is to make music accessible and fun to people of all ages and skill sets. His personalized style of instruction, tailored to meet the different needs of each individual, provides students with the tools they need to not only master an instrument, but to conquer the world, one note at a time.
